Closing Ceremonies
I watched part of the closing ceremonies this past Sunday. As always, it was a pretty wonderful spectacle. In a very explicit way it was marketing tool for the entire country of Canada. All the dancing and song had something to do with how great Canada is. It was a showcase of the beautiful parts of the country. This may sound like a negative post but I truly enjoyed it. I don't want to know what the country is actually like, but I will absolutely watch the romanticized version of it. Thank you Canada for doing another great closing ceremony.

Ya the olympics are awesome. This blog is a cool way to keep track of all of it and learn new things about it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband was lucky enough to be in Salt Lake City for the last winter Olympics. He attended the opening ceremony, and said it was simply amazing. The face value of the ticket was $925 just for that event! Of course, he went free (work.) He still has all of the things that he needed to hold up and wear during the ceremony. But as amazing as it was, if you ask him the best part, he'll tell you it was meeting Angelina Jolie!
ReplyDeleteI am still wondering if anyone will ever be able to top Beijing?
